Ministry of the Environment publishes Guide to Completing Phase I ESAs

These documents will be of great assistance to qualified persons in understanding the new Phase I and II ESA requirements for the purpose of filing a record of site condition. CBA adopts resolution urging comprehensive national climate change law
September 15th, 2011 by Michael HebertThe Canadian Bar Association at its annual meeting in Halifax has adopted climate change resolution urging Federal, Provincial and Territorial Governments to take immediate steps to develop and implement a comprehensive national climate change law including mandatory greenhouse gas emission reductions and carbon pricing. Michael Hebert of Beament Green was involved in the committee that drafted the resolution that was successfully adopted by the Canadian Bar Association. The resolution may be found on the Canadian Bar Association website as Resolution 11-05-A.
Ministry of the Environment plans to implement its Modernization of Environmental Approvals
September 15th, 2011 by Michael HebertThe Ministry of the Environment plans to implement its Modernization of Environmental Approvals commencing on October 31, 2011. This initiative will significantly transform Ontario’s Environmental Approval Process by moving to a risk-based focus for environmental protection, while providing new online tools for businesses to submit and track applications for environmental approval, and for the public to access information about environmental approvals via the internet. The Environmental Approval Access and Service Integration Branch and the Environmental Approvals Branch will serve as the foundation for the delivery of Environmental Approval Services. New Compendium of Ontario Municipal Brownfields Financial Incentive Programs

Until now, there has been no consolidated source for locating active municipal financial incentive programs.
