Jeff’s practice focuses on worker’s safety insurance board matters, together with personal injury law. Jeff is the pre-eminent WSIB lawyer in the Ottawa area, and has represented hundreds of workers in claims before the WSIB Appeals Branch, as well as the Safety Insurance Tribunal. Jeff has helped hundreds of workers obtain the benefits to which they were entitled, and helps workers navigate their way through the very difficult WSIB system. Jeff has practiced extensively in the WSIB system for the last 12 years, and has developed an expertise in the WSIB matters, to the point he is now the go to counsel for workers needing assistance with WSIB claims or information.

After successfully completing her articles with Beament Green, Cheryl Gerhardt McLuckie joined the firm following her call to the bar in 2001. Cheryl is a key member of the environmental and commercial litigation team at Beament Green and works with Michael Hebert on complex commercial matters.

Her extensive experience in environmental law and commercial litigation also includes knowledge of construction and tendering law, leasing and professional negligence. Her research skills and ability to organize and manage large, complex files is a valuable resource to the firm and its clients. She has appeared before various levels of Court, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, and also before numerous tribunals, including the Landlord and Tenant Board. Michael Hebert is one of the leading Environmental Law lawyers in Canada. His visionary work as the Plaintiff’s counsel in Tridan v. Shell, 2002 Carswell Ont 1, 154 O.A.C. 1, 57 O.R. He obtained his Bachelor of Technology at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and graduated from the University of Ottawa Law School. During his studies at the University of Ottawa, Sig was employed as a Research and Teaching Assistant helping in developing online testing materials for Property Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Sig also served as a Union Steward with CUPE Local 2626.

For the past 24 years Helen has worked in the legal field and has continued her education during her employment as a Law Clerk. She obtained her Paralegal Licence in 2008. She has worked for both Plaintiff and Defence counsel and the last number of years has worked exclusively for Plaintiff’s counsel. She has in that time assisted injury victims in securing accident benefits to which they are entitled to under the Statutory Accident Benefit Schedule.
